Default Poetry Chosen For High School English Class

My poetry was chosen as part of the curriculum of a High School English class. "Cyber English 9" is a new web based high school English class. The students create a web site (Poetry Journal) and choose 12 poems from a Poetry List. I am on "Poetry Journal""Dana K's Blog". Cyber English 9 has an extensive array of poetry information and activities, from literary term flash cards to poem analysis by the student to poetry forms to poetry web links to student writing a poem.

It looks like my achievement is so outstanding that it has left everyone speechless.

Thomas,

Apologies, however I actually went to the site, looked for both "Poetry Journal" and "Dana K's Blog" but could find neither one, and gave up. Doubtless a poor reflection on my cyber skills, but if so I'm not the only one so afflicted. Perhaps a link would have helped.

Best,

Ed

It's more that we have no impression of who you are. You appear to have been lurking for almost a decade, and your first post is asking for praise. It just feels a little off.

But since you're here, do please share some of your work. We're all eager to learn.

FWIW - I couldn't find you on the site either.

Easy enough to find, just highlight what is in double quotes:

"Poetry Journal""Dana K's Blog"

right click and search on google option (I am using google chrome on Vista) takes you here:

http://student.sheboyganfalls.k12.wi...oetry-journal/

with links to 12 poems. However, it would be easier Thomas if you just gave the link direct.

Well, I remember you, Thomas. You're the dude who used to post a lot of right-wing poems with a handle more like "Newton2," right? (Why the name-change? Have you been halved?)

I teach high school, and I have occasionally experienced the fun of young people liking my work. Enjoy!

Been there, did that.

Thomas,
'Coming out of the woodwork' just to tell us that is rather odd.

Thomas has been at this for years, putting up vanity messages and posting incredibly bad poetry. He's now apparently rejoined under another variant of his name, so it appears to more recent members that he's a newbie. He's not, and most of us have had it with his bullshit. That's the reason, bubbeleh, that you didn't get any response the first time around.
