Nice surprise
I have been away all summer and come back to find a poem of mine was printed in the San Pedro River Review and received my copy of the Floating Bridge Review with a poem of mine in it. Also learned while I was gone that EXOT books will publish a sonnet of mine. I always tend to feel I am not accomplishing much but when I add them up, I have have had 7 poems accepted for publishing this year. For someone who is essentially just starting, this is a nice start. Of course I also got the same number of "thank you but..."s
Just wish I could stay more focused on the poetry. I only wrote one poem this entire summer but I have started a novel ( a pipe dream that will never see the light of day, but fun) and going back to painting for a while. I'll keep reading here though and remain inspired by you all.

Congratulations, Cyn -- that's a fine summer's haul while you were out and about. I hope the novel lets you get back to your poetry soon, but in the meantime, good luck with it.

Cyn
This is not only wonderful news, but reveals so much about you! You paint, too? I haven't even read one of your poems. I long to! I look forward to reading your sonnet in the Exot publication.
I'm so happy for you!

Welcome back, Cyn. How lovely to be away all summer - somewhere nice and warm, presumably. (Here in the UK we've been plunged into autumn and we hardly even noticed "summer"; it's gauged by the number of barbecues we had which, in our case, was er... none!)
I can't remember the details of the last poem you posted, sorry, but I do recall that I liked it very much; hope to see another one soon. Oh, and I almost forgot: congrats on your successes.

Thanks all
The novel idea (sorry bad pun) is most likely just a diversion but it's fun. Jayne it was my Luc Bat poem that you liked. Thanks again
