Len Krisak's beautiful free translation of Horace's Carpe Diem ode up today (April 2) on Verse Daily. Gosh, "Babylon" suddenly gives one chills. After today it will be in their archives:

Len, gorgeous translation! This is so fine.
"In Babylon, your fate will not be known / As well as here"
Thanks for the notice, Alicia. Note, the date for the poem is April 1.

Shoot, you're right. It was yesterday. How did I miss it? Well, it's easy to locate in the archive, April 1.

Sorry I took so long responding, guys.
I simply had no idea Verse Daily had done
this, so thanks to Alicia for pointing it
out and thanks to all the rest of you for
your kind comments.
Meanwhile, three Horatian odes are
to appear in the new issue (due out
God only knows when) of the Hudson Review.
