Up Shit Creek
Dearly beloved
The excellent Rose Kelleher has seen fit to inform me today that SCR have accepted my pome "Pediophobia" (workshopped here very recently) for the upcoming issue.
Personally, I consider SCR to be a major coup, not least because of its early association with Paul Stevens (poet, alchymist, magister, all round decent chap, Yorkshireman etc. etc.) who saw fit to publish pretty much the first few of my things that ever saw daylight.
On a smaller and more intimate note, I attended the wonderful "British Vision" art exhibition in London today, where my friend Annie Ovenden had a number of paintings on show. The catalogue was a work of art in itself, and the intro to Annie's section included my poem "Hemistichal Landscape" which I wrote to celebrate her work, as well as my great liking for her as a person. Which counts as my first print publication, in a way.
All in all, not a bad day.
Philip
PS - just realised that, in my enthusiasm, I neglected to thank those who helped me with Pediophobia!!!!
