Default Lavender Flea

I strive for efficiency here by posting two acceptances for future publication in one shot. Both big deals to me.

Mary Meriam has accepted “Lorelei”, a Sapphics night journey, for Lavender Review’s upcoming night-themed issue. It was workshopped here and improved in the process. Thanks all.

Paul Stevens will take a canzone (a canzone!!!) called "The Stones in Morocco", inspired by Keef’s boffo autobio, Life, for The Flea. That one I showed a few members ex-cathedra, and they know who they are as I effusively thank them for taking on the extra assignment.

Rick

Both wonderful pieces, Rick - but that canzone is the bomb! I'm still rocking on the bus - what a trip! I'm thrilled it's getting well-deserved airplay on The Flea. Please please please can you record a reading??!!!

Cally

If 'Stones in Morocco' can even hold a candle to 'Lorelei,' I'll bring popcorn to the unveiling. 'Lorelei' was the first poem I saw on the Sphere, and the reason I joined. Congrats!

Thanks folks!

Cally, thanks for looking that baby over. I do plan to warm up the MP3 skillet.

Ed, I think what the “Stones” holds to “Lorelei” is more like a 70s vintage cigarette lighter! I’m happy to have dragged you into this.

All, again, thanks.

Rick
