Default Whitworth in New Criterion

John's in the current issue of New Criterion, along with Dick Allen and Morri Creech. John's finally getting some New World cred!

Ummm... Sam... where "New World cred" is concerned, we did publish John about a year ago in The Raintown Review. The level of "cred" involved is, of course, not for me to say, but the journal is definitely New World-based.

It's very nice indeed, and an honour, to be in New Criterion, but my biggest fans by a bloody street in the magazine world is Australia's (and Les Murray's) Quadrant. Oz is new world surely. No, it's the old world which is a teeny bit resistant. And thank you Quincy too.

Congratulations, John! This is what Columbus made the trip for - his mission has been fulfilled.
