Default Thanks

First of all apologies for not getting here often enough (or in time) to congratulate others on their publications. A collective "well done" to all for recent successes.

I've got beyond the point of wanting to trumpet every little triumph, but I did want to mention a couple just to say thanks.

Karen Kelsay recently took two of my poems for Victorian Violet Press:

Head Lands - workshopped here (possibly to less than universal acclaim, but thanks to those who looked in on it).
My Own Private Video - not seen here.

I think VVP is a well-presented mag, and Karen is a charming and thoughtful editor with a very quick response time, so thanks to her.

Nice to rub shoulders with Ann Drysdale, David Landrum and others from here, too.

Secondly, during the time that Paul Stevens' mighty portal was open, he saw fit to accept 3 of my poems for the Flea:

After the Harvest - due April, not seen here.
Learning to Paint Clouds and I, Hokusai, Reply - due June. Both workshopped here.

Thanks to Paul for his work in putting up such a distinctive and classy mag. But also thanks to those who commented on the Hokusai poems, particularly Michael Cantor (who also gave some valuable off-line input).

Best to all,

Philip

Congratulations, Philip. I remember the Hokusai poems; it will be good to see them again.

Good to rub shoulders with you, too, Philip. And everyone else. I don't do all that much congratulating here because it feels like buying rounds of drinks and I'm scared of missing people out, but I'll be looking out for those Hokusai poems

Congratulations, Philip. I hadn't seen Headlands before-- enjoyed reading it.
