It was great to see that Alan Gilbert has a short piece on Eileen Tabios' new blog Poets on Adoption: here's the link his entry at the Poetry Foundation site.

I'm only one of many poets (posted or soon to come) writing about this issue. Some are birth parents or adoptive parents, others adoptees, and the issues covered are wide-ranging: transnational adoption, the effects of closed adoption, gender issues, historical and legal contexts, & much more.

The range of styles and aesthetic choices is similarly wide, but this is not a hobbyist's blog. The poems (& much of the accompanying prose) is thoughtful, revealing, and genuinely literary.
