No downside here. Elspeth is a lovely name. The Scottish form of Elizabeth, it means 'chosen by God' or 'consecrated by God'.

that they spell it Elsbeth. That can't be right, surely?

(And I see it in other places when I google the spelling itself. Googling "Alicia Elspeth" and "Stallings" returns no hits.)
But that's an awfully minor matter when there's such good news. Kudos to Alicia!

Whoa! That's major. I know some very well-published poets who have applied for it repeatedly and been turned down. It is great to see a formalist making the list, and one so young, at that.
