Default Blue Unicorn

The latest issue of Blue Unicorn contains fine sonnets by Frank Osen and Esther Cameron, a lovely 7-line formal poem by Don Kimball, and a poem and a translation of a Martial epigram by me. I hope I haven't missed any Eratosphere regulars. If you haven't tried submitting there, it accepts both formal and free verse.

Yes, congratulations to you all.

Does the magazine have a website? I can't find it offhand. If not, could you give an idea of the kind of thing they might like? Do they ever take light verse or translations?

Oh, my goodness, thank you Susan! Thank you all! I haven't yet received my copy of the Blue Unicorn, so I haven't had a chance to see my poem in print or read the others mentioned here. But I sure do look forward to it. Until then, congratulations to you, too, Susan, as well as Frank and Esther.

Roger,
There are usually at least 2-3 translations in every issue, often in formal verse, but not always. The journal has published some of my Martial translations that are on the light side, though I wouldn't say that it has a strong leaning toward light verse. I should perhaps warn people that there is a rather long wait for the accepted poems to see print, often over a year. I don't know of any web site, but the address for submissions is 22 Avon Road, Kensington, CA 94707. The subscription cost is $18.00, for three issues per year.

Congratulations, Susan, Frank, Esther and Don.
I have never seen the journal but it sounds interesting.
