"Prayer to a Higher Horsepower," workshopped here on Non-Met, has just been accepted by 32 Poems magazine.

I'll post more once I know when it's going to be out. I think I scared the cat when the acceptance came in.

Alicia:

Thank you. I enjoyed your "Ultrasound" from the most recent issue!

Dave and Ethan:

Thank you for the kind words.

So as not to open up yet another thread, I'll note here that I also just received notification that my poem "Earl Campbell, the Tyler Rose," also workshopped here on Non-Met, got picked up by Aethlon: the Journal of Sport Literature. This is the first time I've ever gotten two acceptances in one day (only the second time I've even gotten two in one week), so I'm in excellent spirits right now!

Steve, way to go! I remember "Prayer to a Higher Horsepower" and I'm not surprised it found such an illustrious home. It kicks ass.

Steven, congrats on both poems which I remember enjoying on Free Verse. Two in one day! That's got to be a record. Dee

Steven, congrats on the Aethlon acceptance. I suggest that you ask for galleys--they mangled one of mine in the printing. Better luck to you!

Cheers,

Everyone:

Thank you all for the good wishes. Ralph, thanks for the advice on Aethlon. I'll find out if I can see a proof.
