Not Only the Dark
Alex Pepple was good enough to take my poem 'Back', about my dear friend Rachel and her experience in a flooded Indian gorge, for the last Able Muse Review. Now the poem has also appeared in this anthology, to aid the charity Shelterbox: http://wordaid.blogspot.com/2011/11/...available.html. I think it's good value for money. The launch reading is in Canterbury on Thursday, and I'll be reading alongside a number of other contributors.

That's wonderful, Rory. Sounds so worthwhile. Wish I could be there!
Also I got New Walk magazine in the mail yesterday, and have been enjoying reading the work, and I suddenly twigged as to why it's called New Walk--since you are in Leicester, along with much of my family, and I've been to the actual New Walk!
Thanks,
Charlotte

I hope you get a good turnout, Rory. That is a poem that remained in my mind. Maybe I can catch one of your readings next trip. Thx Charlotte for indicating the origins. I learn things every day. http://www.friendsofnewwalk.org.uk/history.php

Great news, Rory, both on the poem and the good cause.

Many congratulations, Rory. It is a fine poem
Janice, that must be a different New Walk, as it appears to be in York, rather than Leicester.

Oh H**l. I had both of them (York and Leicester) up for onscreen reading and chose the prettiest page just before rushing off to catch a train.
Oh, well, I did learn something today, but not what I thought I learned.
