Default West Chester and assorted other stuff

Here's my year-end big batch of good news:

A long poem of mine has been published in Relief. (Might this blog post make you curious enough to buy the issue?)

I have other poems and translations--some workshopped things, and some others--forthcoming in Able Muse, String Poet, Innisfree Poetry Journal, and Mezzo Cammin. Thanks again to all who helped.

Measure has also accepted my essay on John Ciardi.

And the real excitement: I've been invited to read from my first book, Breath Control, at the first book panel at West Chester next year. (The book is due out in February.) I'll also be taking part in the Mezzo Cammin women poets timeline seminar. Which means I'll be there! and get to meet many of you at last, I hope. (Cross all your fingers and toes and hope the Minnesota Legislature actually succeeds in having a short session this year so that I don't have to bring work with me.)

And, um, I have a web site. There may be something better later, but this is it for now. Thanks to those who made suggestions. (More are welcome, especially about how to get it to show up on search engines.)

You all are part of all of this, so thanks.

It is all good, good news but this is the greatest:

Impressive goings-on, Maryann, and an impressive website as well. What a great addition you'll be to that panel at West Chester. Congratulations!

Maryann,

All this is wonderful news, and especially pleased we'll have our first West Chester at the same time! I will be beaming from the audience at your reading - richly deserved, both the book and the honour.

About to go in and check out your site!

Cally

Wonderful news, Maryann! I am so glad that you will at last be able to attend West Chester and give a reading from your first book. I look forward to hearing it and to talking to you again.

Susan

Wonderful news all around! I very much look forward to hearing you read, Maryann. And to meeting you, Cally. It looks as though the West Chester program is coming together early this year.
