Default Villanelles anthology in pre-order

For all you good people who said you wanted to order "The Book of Villanelles" when it came out in Pocket Poets, the moment is at hand. The anthology is now called simply "Villanelles" and can be pre-ordered at Amazon for $10.69 (offical publication date is March 6).
[Because of all the other books with "villanelle" in the title, it may be helpful to look it up under the editor's name, Marie-Elizabeth Mali.]

There will be a villanelles panel at West Chester on June 9 to promote the book, and a book launch reading at the Bowery Poetry Club on March 31, for the New Yorkers among us.

Spherian Support is greatly appreciated!

Hi Gail,

I'm one of those "good people" and to prove it I've just placed my pre-order!

Gail - splendid news!

And will you be at West Chester on that panel? And will you be in New York for the book launch reading??

Actually, Gail, the moment was at hand back on 1/4, because that's when I pre-ordered, prompted by announcements on Facebook. Can't wait to get the book!

Well, Maryann, I don't use Facebook much, so my first information was today, when Marie-Elizabeth sent all the contributors an e-mail. Thanks for your early order!

Cally, I'm afraid I won't be at West Chester this year. I'm desolated about it, but since I hope to spend June in Italy, there will be some compensations.

And Jayne, thanks so much for ordering, and my sonnets are also on their way to you.

I hope to be on the panel on villanelles at West Chester. I've volunteered, so I will wait to see if there is room for me. The other readings are at times and places I can't attend. I look forward to seeing the collection.

Thanks for the update, Gail. I'm very much looking forward to this book, which I pre-ordered in mid-November.

I didn't know there's going to be a villanelle panel at West Chester. I've never attended, but the announcements get more interesting by the day.

Best.

Ed

Villanelles are a special interest to me, though I got the bum's rush for this anthology, no doubt deservedly, so (anal retentively) I shall not buy it.
Gail, I've really enjoyed your book, 'Sonnets in a Hostile World'.
Best regards,
David

I really enjoyed 'Sonnets' too, Gail, and look forward to receiving 'Cynic'. (Excuse the shorthand titles; I'm eating with one hand and typing with the other.)

Gail,

My copy of 'Villanelles' has arrived, and it's superb!

Who's in it? You, Rhina, Alicia, Ned, Julie, Austin, Marilyn... (hope I haven't missed out any spherians)... and lots of other big names like Oscar Wilde, Thomas Hardy, W H Auden, Howard Nemerov...

I've only had a quick skim through it so far - but there are rich pickings in this beautiful little book! Congratulations to all of you who are in it.

Jayne
