I'd like to let people know that one of my poems will be featured on Poetry Daily this Sunday, January 8th. "The Happy Friend" benefited from critiques at the Deep End and was published this fall in The Southwest Review.

Kudos, David! And your poem in Poetry is charmingly pixilated!

I've now learned that "pixilated" and "pixelated" may overlap in meaning...So your poem taught me something about spelling as well as disintegration.

Thanks all. And Terese, I had no idea the words overlapped. In fact, I didn't know that the more modern pixelated was accepted until someone at the deep end told me. I think I had it hypenated as pixel-ated to set it apart. Shows you how far behind the times I am.

Congratulations, David! Funny, I was just thinking of you today, as I am going to be using your and John Frederick Nims' wonderful Western Wind in my creative writing class this semester.
