Default The Quadrant Book of Poetry

Edited by the great Les Murray. And Tim Murphy and I are in it. I haven't seen the book but I have seen the advertisement. I am Pope on Dope. I like it.

I'm Riding on a Hiding (to nil) -- so I ain't in it. But I'll certainly be buying a copy! Most likely here:

Good stuff, Whitters!

John, or anyone, first I've heard of this. I'd love to know what of mine Les included. I suspect I'll order the book, because knowing Les, I expect it will be very good.

Les mentions you in his blurb for the book. You don't get to be called Pope on Dope (not THE Pope on Dope I assume) but you are there among the half dozen he mentions. There are 479 poems in the book. Presumably he (they) will send you one.

He's certainly been very good to me. John Ridland had me send him two elegiac poems for AD Hope when the great man died, and in the last couple years he's published a lot of my best stuff.

It looks quite wonderful. I'll try to figure out how a Yank might get one. Congrats to you both.

Default Quadrant Anthology

In a recent letter, Les mentioned that the anthology was coming out and that there would also be some Americans and Brits in it. Congrats to Tim and John.

I've published some poems in Quadrant, too, in the last few years.

John, did any make the anthology?
