Susan d.S., Fringe
3 poems by me and a Q and A interview in the current online issue of Fringe.
It is an interesting journal for Spherians. They are looking for experimental work that takes thematic or formal risks, and work that is difficult to classify. They have a large readership (13,000 per month), and are a pleasure to work with. Maryann Corbett had excellent poems there in January.
Here is the link to the poems. One of them, Old Newsreel (Dallas, 1963), benefited from the input of Spherians.
Here is the link to the Q and A interview, in which it was a pleasure to be able to mention the Sphere.

Hurrah, Susan.
Thx for sharing this. I will go straight there and read your interview. I remember that poem when it was being workshopped. Wonderful placement.

This is SO great, Sun-lily!!!! Not least because you've given me my mantra for today - nib nok nok!!
These three poems perfectly show off your range and your talents and your voices...
And the interview is fantastic! I love that idea/experience of having a semi-estranged relationship to both languages. Reading you say that just now - it made me realise that the best poets seek and cultivate, need, a semi-estranged relationship to language - in the conjunction of strangeness and intimacy - that's where the magic happens, the old, the new, the strange...
Well - what a wonderful trove of poem and thought you've provided me with already today!!!
SHINE ON, Lily-sun!!!!!!
