Wendy V in Poetry
The April edition of Poetry contains a poem by Wendy, titled "!" If memory serves this poem originated with a Spherical challenge having to do with the phrase "Faggot Dinosaur." Wendy makes a good reply.
I'll see her this weekend at a poetry festival in Carbondale, Colorado. I intend to hug her almost to death (since I'm hugging for two in this case) then revive her with a kiss.

Hey Davey! That's my job! To kiss her to death, then kiss her to life again!!
Seriously, that hysterically funny thread did produce some gems, and wendy's did indeed take the cake, with that twist in its dinosaur tail!
GREAT to see it in Poetry, wenderoo!! GOOD on YOU!!!!

No, that's her old name. Cally's her new name. Some day I'll tell you her other names. (I'm still learning them. They are endless.)

Yes, it's wonderfully witty, and I am relieved to learn that Chanticleer survived his transgender surgery to become lesbianic!

Yes, read the poem yesterday! Nice job, Wendy. Love the twist.
I read it because I got 14 free copies of Poetry--they send out to reading groups and classes for National Poetry month. (You just have to send an e-mail!) Anyway, it was the first poem my students looked at--because of the "!" of course--and they said they liked it a lot. This is high school! There's hope! (Actually, my students are amazing.)

It's up now, and so weird and fun I wish I had written it.
