I'm chuffed to say that Sebastian Barker of The London Magazine has taken my "St Patrick's Day Parade" ballad.

It's one of the oldest literary magazines--established in 1732--and was famous in the early 19th Century for championing poets like Keats, Clare and Wordsworth.

Assuming it's good to be chuffed, congratulations! It was a fine piece and you could have placed it anywhere, I'd say. I'm chuffed for you. Well done!

Doesn't surprise me in the slightest, well done!
Betcha it'll be taken up by many more outlets, The New Yorker comes to mind and others such.

David, clearly they know how to separate the chuff from the chaff!

Congrats--

Congratulations, David! I had a poem pub'd in London Magazine back in 1993, when longtime editor Alan Ross was still alive. Has the magazine changed its focus at all since that era?

Thanks very much, everyone.

Julie, the answer is I don't know, as I'm not presently a subscriber. A friend who's a contributor suggested I send it to Sebastian Barker since he has a soft spot for ballads.

Here's their website:

Best regards,
