Raintown Review
The new RAINTOWN - Vol. 10 Issue 2 - is just out, and if I were to list all the Spherians in it, I'd have to copy almost the whole table of contents. So if you're in there, mention it boldly! I counted up to 15,
but I think there are more.

Rob Griffith's opening poem, "When the Zombies Come," is hilarious! I was laughing from beginning to end!
Congrats en masse!

OK, Gail... Boldly... I'm in there. I also loved your poem... and Dick Davis' translations.... and... I'm still reading...
I'm also just bowled over to be included in this crowd of accomplished poets.
Great job, Quincy and Anna!

I'm not in it so much as on it. The cover photo is mine, is all.

I'm glad to hear so many Sphereans will be in it; it's sure to be another fine issue. Congrats to all of you, whose names I'll find out when the mailman finally obliges me.

Ahhh... I meant to mention the cover, Nick. I love teasels (I've even written a poem about them!) and your photo is a gorgeous one. Kudos!

I skipped to the essays, which are always a treat, and am now working my way through the poems -- I'll take work like that all day -- but I'd just like to note how enjoyably provocative (if not always agreeable) I found Bill Lantry's 'Rose and Crown' and Quincy Lehr's 'Of Peasants, Pitchforks, Priggishness, and the Poetry Foundation.'
Why do I think I've been to that pub before?

Thanks for the mention, Ed!
It's a nice little pub, with interesting people, spirited conversation... and lots of warm Guinness!
Thanks,
Bill

Okay, putting off subscribing to it is over....
I simply need to bite the bullet--bite the wallet would be a much more appropriate expression for me--and subscribe to it. I do love the journal, and I would love to get this copy. I wonder if they ever give out free copies at West Chester? (serioiusly doubt it...) 2 years ago they had fliers, and that's what convinced me to submit to them.
