North American Review (translations)
I signed a contract yesterday-- two of my translations from Manuel José Arce, "Map With a Stone" and "Presidential Sermon" are forthcoming in the North American Review, possibly summer but more likely fall 2012. Many thanks to those who provided feedback when I workshopped "Map" several months ago and who continue to provide feedback on the Translation board (thanks to Pedro, too, of course).
(NAR, by the way, is eager to publish more translations, now that the English and Foreign Language Depts. at the university that houses it have merged-- in case any of you translators are looking for new venues. Of course they're a fantastic venue for original poetry and fiction, too.)

Congratulations on the wonderful placement! I've been sadly absent from the translation board lately and missed these while they were in progress, but I see that there are more coming--good!
And thank you for the heads-up. I don't think NAR takes much formal poetry, but I seem to remember that one of Michael Juster's blank verse pieces appeared there.
