Aaron's book's now in the WCU First Book Panel
Aaron Poochigian's The Cosmic Purr from Able Muse Press will now be included in the First Book Panel of this summer's West Chester University Poetry Conference.
Congratulations, Aaron!
If you'll be at the conference, don't miss his reading! (which will include Matthew Buckley Smith also in the First Book Panel; and Michael Cantor in the First Book Feature).
Cheers,
...Alex

I believe Maryann Corbett will also be reading from Breath Control on that panel. Last year I was the only woman, though Michael read from Maz's book.
Wish I could be there . . .

That's great news about Aaron's book! It'll be a privilege to be on a panel along with him.

Rick, it'll be a big party and a good one--can anybody even count the number of good books by formalist poets that came out in the past year? The question of who gets on the panel is a Great Mystery. (Or at least I don't have any good explanation.)
If the non-Refusees hang around near the tent will somebody bring us a beer?

Why not compromise? Come to my reading, at the Saloon des Semi-Refusés. I intend to read selections from my book while standing on one leg, twirling flaming hoops with the other three limbs, and balancing a three-pound kosher salami on my chin. Naked. And at the end I will pull the flags of all nations from my nose. Can Maryann Corbett make such promises?
