I've just gotten word that Quincy will be teaching American history for a year at Trinity College Dublin. How wonderful and how difficult an accomplishment.
With lots of admiration and a touch of green in my eyes,
Marcia

wow, well done!
You might be teaching a friend of mine, she's applied for History and English at Trinity.
Prestigious gig, you must be very chuffed.

Before seeing this thread, I'd already replied:
YOU GO GIRL! That's just a great first job, Quincy. You need to get over to Kilkenny and see Jim and Una Hayes. Big house! Greet St. Patrick for me. I am green with envy. fondly, Tim

Great news, Quincy. Congratulations! That is a lovely college. I saw it a few times when I was in Dublin for a month in 2000 (and Dublin itself is a lively, interesting city to live in). Enjoy.

The best thing of all about Dublin - and I dearly hope this is still true when you get there, Quincy - is that it has no Starbucks - it's so exciting! Lots of great coffee, though.
I know: petty. But great.
And congratulations, I'm sure Trinity's lucky to have you.
