A few things from the mailbox of wendy v that didn't contain the words: Yea, right...
Smartish Pace has accepted four of my poems for an upcoming issue: Disillusion, West of Gibraltar, Dissection, and Coyote.
Santa Fe Broadside, in honor of the Talking Gourds, picked up a shorty of mine called Worst Fear.
Rattapallax finally came out with its latest, and in it appeared an older sonnet entitled Prufrock Takes a Formal Lover.
Also, I might be the lucky winner of 25 million dollars.
Was also surprised to have rec'd the Mark Fischer Poetry Prize this year, which is a small contest open to poets in the four corner states. That was pretty cool, since I've never won anything in my life...
Thanks to all the critters and fritters on the 'sphere who continue to inspire and support the art. Many of the above poems were shopped here. Ever grateful to the 'sphere and the diverse array of readers and writers here.
Wish me luck on the millions,
wendy

Congratulations - Smartish Pace has a good rep, and this confirms it. It's great to see the good guys win! .
(Most of the time, that is. With regard to the $25 million, I assume you were also one of those contacted by Mrs. Olabunji, the widow of the former Nigerian Minister of Finance, and apparently a true poetry lover; but I'm sorry to tell you that I've already wrapped that one up - my certified check for the Security Bond and Legal & Documentation Expenses was sent out last night.)

Congratulations Wendy, and I almost hope you get the millions. (I want to be more generous but the millions stick in the craw

Thanks, everybody. Terese, I sent to the Fischer competition "The Various Ways 'Oh My' Can be Said" and they gave me a hundred dollars. Don't tell that snooty Michael, but I can now boast of feeding a family of four on my poem earnings. Okay, four finches, but still.
Rose, good to see yer. Thanks for warm wishes, all,
wendy
