My new book is out, titled "Agua de dos rios," which means "Water from Two Rivers." It's a bilingual collection of poems, essays, and translations into and out of Spanish and English, and was published this month by the Dominican Republic's Ministry of Culture & Education.
For more information, contact the Office of the Dominican Commissioner of Culture in NY, Dr. Franklin Gutierrez, at codocul@gmail.com or call Ramon Nunez, the representative of Editorial Buho, at (212) 234-4956.
Here's the website in the DR, for those who want to practice their Spanish: www.cultura.gov.do

Wonderful news! I'm eagerly looking forward to reading it. Will I find your translations of Frost into Spanish? I'd love to see those, along with the rest.

This is great news. The boneheads at Henry Holt still have not given Rhina permission to publish the Frost translations. My best boyhood friend is Roberto Suro, and as you can tell by his name, his Spanish is a hell of a lot better than mine. He has read both the translations of Juan de la Cruz into English and Frost into Spanish, and he thinks Rhina is giving Wilbur a run for his money. Dana once said Wilbur should collect all his translations under the title Look On My Works Ye Mighty And Despair. That's about the way I feel about both translators.

Great! And what a great idea, having translations both ways packaged together!

It is indeed a fine idea, and heartiest congratulations to Rhina.

This is something to look forward to reading. My younger daughter's other language is Spanish, so I'll have someone to help me appreciate the hard parts.

Thanks, guys! I'm tickled silly that some hardy gringos are going to try reading it, with or without the help of daughters!
