I just received notice that a poem of mine workshopped here, "Alternative Rock Song," has been accepted by The Shit Creek Review. Paul Stevens, you are my fucking hero. Thanks!

Congrats, Quincy!
Yes, and after years of claiming to be, I can now say that I am officially in Shit Creek, too.
Paul has taken my "Sheets to the Wind" (a poem about the wind getting horny with a sheet of corrugated tin, 'shopped on TDE), and "Elemental" (an experimental sonnet also workshopped on TDE).
Paul says early November for the first edition - so watch out for it.

Quincy and Mark - Congrats on your fabulous success! I submitted some crap, but haven't heard back. Where do you go after being rejected from Shit Creek?

Ha ha - very funny Q and M. But maybe it's better to be UP Shit Creek than IN Shit Creek. God, I just hope I get accepted.

I couldn't resist making one last exception to my no-submitting vow for The Shit Creek Review. I mean, the symbolism was just too pooetic. I'm pleased to report that my pooem, "Sea Monster," has met with their appooval. I'm hoping it'll receive a Poopcart nomination.
And now I'm off to get shitfaced. But before I go I must say to the folks at Shit Creek - though I don't like to brownnose - thank you from the bottom of my bottom. This has been a very moving experience.

Possibility the one thing worse that being in The Shit Creek review is being rejected by The Shit Creek Review
In so far as I consider every mag that ever rejected me to be a shit creek review then being dumped by the real McCoy would only seem fitting.
What about my Ubiquitous Asshole? Hmm.

My poem, Basic Me, will be in the first issue of The Shit Creek Review! I'm so glad to be there with Quincy, Mark, and Rose. Paul said it should be up in a week. Up, in, out, whatever! This is The Shit Creek, and I'm thrilled to be there.
