The new Hudson Review features a batch of fine poems by Tim Murphy. There's also a delightful poem by Bill Baer, former editor of The Formalist.

Congrats, Tim. (Since it's hardly your first time in that magazine, I'll spare the exclamation mark.)

Well of course Murphy is in the Hudson Review. Good news all the same.
Congratulations Tim,

Thanks folks. Just sent Paula a thank you note telling her that she has surpassed The Dark Horse, Chronicles, Light and the Formalist, by getting 30 of my poems out since 1996. The Doorman was heavily workshopped here, the others slightly tweaked. I thank everyone who helped. Paula is circulating three more new poems among her advisory editors, all arduously worked on here. I have substantially expanded the Requited essay on Michael Donaghy, adding the luminous poems written him by Paul and Sam, and adding a new poem about my earning him a plenary indulgence on Wednesday, All Saints Day. I am hoping that Michael Peich will print it at the Aralia Fine Arts Press next fall, and that it will be a treasured keepsake for the many of us who loved Michael and his work. I have also greatly expanded another Requited chapter, the Young in One Another's Books, to include Alicia as well as Catherine Tufariello and Greg Williamson. I included two of Aliki's poems, a poem by Sam, and a new one by me. Sent to the Horse, and Gerry is inclined to take it.

My New Rivers Press deal on the New and Selected fell through when I learned that their shop is Print on Demand, which doesn't work for a hunter who reads once a year.

Other than that, Bill Thompson's Alabama Literary Review brings out Father Jack, The Bowline, and the five Antiphonal Responses next week. What's most important though, is that Alan has returned to the field and is sending out his own stuff for the first time in several years. As you can see from recent posts, the EfH is as feisty as ever, and his blood tests are good.
