A critical artical I wrote appears in the summer issue of Texas Studies in Language and Literature. The title is "Robert Herrick and the Ambiguities of Gender." Give it a read, a lot of about the figure of Julia in Herrick's poetry and the relationship of this character to Julia Herrick, the poet's mother, and about Herrick's attitude toward women.
By the way, I noticed an article in the same issue titled "Shakespearean Seductions, or, What's with Harold Bloom as Falstaff?" Janet and Quincy, give it a read!
