I signed a contract this week with the University of Pennsylvania Press for my version of Horace's Satires in heroic couplets. They also optioned the Tibullus project.

In addition, The New Criterion is going to run a long section of Book II, Satire VI.

I'm straining now to lock the text down for August 15. Many of the comments from the nine anonymous reviews from four presses were quite good (damn them!) and it's taking more time than I had hoped to address them all.

That's marvelous news! We all know how hard you've been working on this project, and we all saw how well it was taking shape, so it's great that there will be a book (not to mention the New Criterion). Well done, Mr. J.

Wonderful, Michael. As a subscriber to New Criterion I'll look for the section of it they will publish and for the full text. Kudos.

Thrifold congratulations to you Michael! Yep, having the flaws in your work pointed out is helpful but painful!

Best,

Fr. RP

Michael,
That explains your two liner on the Deep End.

Deserved congratulations.
