I met Elizabeth Jones Hanley, Associate Editor, at West Chester last year and sent her some poems, one of which has been published in the latest edition of this magazine.
It's well presented and has a preference for nature-related work.
Most of the poems are beautifully and appropriately illustrated by pen and ink drawings by Richard Luehrman. That was a pleasant surprise to me.
I don't believe the magazine has a website at the moment.
Best regards,
David

Congratulations, David. I saw your poem "Summer's End" and liked it. Thought the illustraton matched it very well.

I've been dealing with this publication for the last two years and have had three poems accepted. Probably we should note here that they lean very heavily toward free verse and although they primarily present the work of poets from the American mid-west (Missouri, Illinois, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, and Iowa), every issue I've seen has included several poems from outside that area.

David, Catherine, Mary, thank you.
Yes, Mary, they are strongly free verse; however I snuck in my disguised metrical one.
Elizabeth having turned up at West Chester, I expect they are reviewing their approach to formal verse.
Best wishes,
David

Does anyone have the address for this handy? I have some free verse poems that I'd like to try out there.

David,

That sounds akin to tricking children into eating their vegetables. I use 'snuck' also, but I think the correct usage is sneaked. It was the red underline that drew my attention to the fact.

Congratulations on your recent achievement. I'd like to see a copy of that Poetry Review. Do you know how one can acquire a copy?

Anne

Talk about currying favor. How generous your offering.
