Rose Kelleher and I have recordings in Soundzine:
http://soundzine.org/index.php?optio...tpage&Itemid=1
Rose reads beautifully. I relied on the house readers, who are brilliant.
The next issue will be specifically metrical.
Best regards,
David

I DESPERATELY want to hear these and I can't get anything to play!! Can anyone tell me what software I have to download to play these on a Mac running OSX?
Maryann
Editing back: Duh. Turned up volume. Yes, Rose reads very well, and the house readers are great too.

Ditto on that. Rose, you read well, you have a nice voice.

What a very good production SZ is! Lovely to hear your voice Rose--and I was hoping to hear David's too.

How very impressive to hear you, Rose. And, to hear your work read, David. Congratulations!

I very much enjoyed listening to both of those poems. David, it must have been an interesting experience--hearing someone else read your poem. I have done it both ways, and I must say, it's kind of fun to hear someone else read your work.

Thanks everyone.
Diane, you're right, it's fascinating to hear the interpretation other people put on your poems, and these readers are better than I am.
Alsop Review Press have a CD of me reading my poems (along with CDs by several other Erato folk) but it's hardly all the rage.
I was impressed by a number of poems in this issue, perhaps especially 'Shadow Train', read by the author Duncan McIntyre. Do listen to it.
Best regards,
David

Wow...both poems are wonderful, Rose and David. And so wonderful to hear them (and you). Why did I think you'd have a gravelly voice, Rose? The voice adds a whole different dimension.
I was going to submit here and did manage to download Audacity and make a recording I liked. But I could never get the file to transfer correctly. This makes me want to try again.

Yes, David, "Shadow Train" is exquisite. I had to turn the volume way up to hear his quiet, haunting voice.
