Three of my poems have been selected for the Soundzine metrical issue, to be published in January: "Groundskeeping," a villanelle published in Tiger's Eye; "Louisiana Blue," published in The Eleventh Muse; and "For Hepburn, In Memoriam," a sonnet published in Slow Trains.

The poems will be read by Soundzine's reader(s).

Congrats, Diane - the metrical issue sounds like it's going to be great.

I still think you should record at least one yourself, though. I like hearing the accents of all the different readers - some English, some Australian, some Irish, some boring Maryland-ish...a Southern accent would be a nice addition.

Thanks, Rose. I don't have the necessary software to record my poems (right now, I don't even have a desktop computer--I have to buy a new one), or I might. But you haven't missed anything insofar as a southern accent is concerned: I grew up with a British mother, and I have spent most of my life in or near New Orleans, where there are no "southern" accents.

Congratulations, Diane. I remember reading and enjoying all these pieces on the Sphere,

Margaret

Thank you, Margaret. Actually, the Hepburn poem that appeared here was the companion piece--a pantoum. For some reason or other, I dug out the sonnet and submitted it--though I generally favor the pantoum--and it was accepted.
