...with poems by David Anthony, Gene Auprey, Kim Copeland, Diane Dees, Max Gutmann, Mary Meriam, Henry Quince, and yours truly. Did I miss anyone?
http://www.soundzine.org/
Mary SINGS hers! Check it out.
It feels good to have something to post here, but that's not the only reason I'm thrilled. Salli Shepherd's reading of my poem is to die for! She makes it sound better than it is. Reading is an art, when someone else reads your poem it's like you're collaborating on something new. James O'Dwyer, who reads David's poems, and Charles Musser, who reads one of Max's, also have nice voices and read well.
Editing in: Just listened to your reading, Max - ha! You sound just the way I thought you would. Well done!

I'm at work, so I haven't had a chance to listen yet, but congratulations to all of you!
Rose, I still remember hearing you read--oh, shit, I can't remember the name. I remember you read it very quickly, and sort of cracked up at the end. Anyway, your reading was vivacious and melodious--so I'm a little disappointed it's not you, yourself, reading your poem.
Because you rock, Rose!

Hey, Rose - and everybody else - very nice! Congrats to all.
Salli does wonderfully, Rose - I'd kill for the accent - and I particularly admire anybody who can tiptoe through the complex and wonderful sonics in that poem without tripping. Do you have any idea if she did it on the first take, or the twelfth?

Yes, your reader does a fine job, Rose - and with such great material, too.
I love it!
Shopping day in town today, but I'll listen to others later.

She writes a pretty good poem too, does Salli.
Well done all those in Soundzine, and those who edited it too! Soundzine sets a very high standard.

Let me second the praise for Max, both the poem and the reading. Thoroughly enjoyable!
Well done, everyone.

Soundzine is a super idea! Congratulations all.
"Interleaving" contains such cool near-nonsense that I too would have liked to hear Rose read it; aloud here, it's more somber than warranted. The sound of rain is a joyful sound. Perhaps this isn't the place for such a comment and if not, please ignore it.
Yes, Mary's singing/songwriting rock! I'm especially fond of the second.

Congratulations all.
So much good stuff I hesitate to name any in case I seem to overlook some other.
Mary's timing in her automobile song and true pitch are a delight.
Henry, Duncan, Gene, David, Diane, Max and Rose read by Salli and more. I have always wished we could hear the poems. I'll try to get with the technology.
