Not a law firm, but in the Autumn 2007 issue of Light Quarterly, which only just made my box last week. T.S. Kerrigan is the featured poet, with writing also by X.J. Kennedy, Amit Majmudar, and Dana Gioia. Whew. What a mouthful...

Sam's is a review of the esteemed Jim Hayes's The Bad Habits of Little Boys, illustrated by none other than our Janet Kenny.

I received and thumbed through the issue but have put off the joy of reading the new issue. The fact that Janet Kenny illustrated the book Sam reviews is VERY cool. I'll soon get to it all.

Very cool!
I've just received my copy and Sam's review of TBHOLB is most favorable. That he read it thoroughly is obvious from the depths of his comments, and as such is obviously pleasing and a great honor.

Some great reviews as well of Ed Conti's Book, a work I greatly admire, and of Thomas Kerrigan's book by X.J. Kennedy.

As Jennifer notes, also wonderful to see the aforementioned Eratosphere notables featuring in the issue.

It's a terrific book. Sam has been a big fan of Jim ever since we took over Light for our versified jokes. His review is very appreciative. Takes one to know one.

Gutmann, Gwynn, Shore, Mullin, Wakefield & White...? I thought those were the shuttle astronauts.

I haven't received my(they’re telling me free) copy yet. I assumed I was still on deck in the weightlessness training tank. Then again, their website is back in the summer of '07.

Thanks for the heads up, Jennifer!

R. Mullin, esq.

My pleasure, R. Mullin, Esquire.

By the way, Dana's poem in this issue is from the Tony Caruso's Final Broadcast opera about which I posted a few weeks ago, in General Talk.
