"To My Soulmate" and "The Last Bachelors" have been accepted by Smartish Pace. Thank you all for helping me revise those--we really tore them apart. I am very fond of Smartish Pace and have found it more open to formal verse than I expected. I encourage you all to submit there.

Baltimore is the center of my poetic universe,

Lord Baltimore

C'grats, Aaron.
Yes, Smartish Pace is a great journal,
and unobtrusively formal friendly.

It's a great credit, and I'm thoroughly envious. Congrats!

Nice work, Aaron!

I've been a bit reluctant to submit to Smartish Pace because of their lengthy response time (and I try to avoid simultaneous submissions), but obviously the patience paid off for you. Congrats!

Bravo, Aaron. That's a good one. But I'd always thought that Utah was the center of your poetic universe!

Thanks, all. Yes, Shaun, there is usually quite a wait but I think the potential reward is worth it--you are invited to read at annual event in the Spring (this year's will be te 31st of May).

Andrew, I have just moved from SL,UT and am still coming to terms with it. I felt like Ovid exiled to Tome but it was the most productive period of my life so far. Baltimore has so many good poets--neck and neck with Newburyport and almost on par with Fargo in the 90s.
