I just got word that my poem "Shereen’s Ghazal" will appear in the next issue of The Barefoot Muse.

Good work, David.
I'm in there too with a sonnet called "Burned Out".

Congrats, Chris!

Any other Spherians in Barefoot Muse this issue?

Congrats David and Chris...I'll be in the issue too, with a series of fibs. Looking forward to your ghazal, David...I've been working on one myself and finding it quite a challenge.

I'm in with 'Suicide Town' and possibly a second poem, too--last I heard, it was being held.

I'll be eager to see your fibs--a fascinating new form of poetry.

As for the ghazal . . . I'm a little nervous about it becasue it is very explicit in language, more than anything I've written. So we'll see what kind of reception it gets.

Well now I'm really looking forward to reading your ghazal, David! I wouldn't say my fibs are explicit, exactly, but some of them deal frankly with sexuality...so you won't be totally alone. And I have to say that I admire Anna's willingness to include poems that are sexual in nature and even explicit...a lot of editors won't take that on for fear of being offensive and, perhaps, general squeamishness. Certainly there is a great line-up of poets in the next issue!
