Some of you will remember Wendy Sloan from West Chester, some from the Modern Metrics series in New York. We are pleased to announce she will be reading at our new venue on Saturday, January 20 at 4 pm.
Wendy Sloan practiced union democracy and labor-side labor law for many years with the New York City firm of Hall & Sloan. She holds an A.B. degree in English Literature from Connecticut College and a J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of Law in San Francisco. Her work has appeared in
Iambs & Trochees. She lives in New York City with her husband, Jonathan Chasan, an attorney with the Prisoners' Rights Project of the Legal Aid Society, and near her daughter, Rachel Chasan, a resident physician at Mt. Sinai Hospital.
Having heard her read at a few Opens, I recommend her work for its high intelligence and freshness and her voice for its sobering gentleness. Come and hear for yourself.
