Triolet Challenge at The Waters.

The deadline is midnight, April 29th. No topic specifications.

Post to the main Poetry Workshop forum with the word triolet in parentheses after the title.

The judging will be done by The Waters staff and the prize is a chapbook by a contemporary poet.

Here's the announcement: April Poetry Challenge.

And the forum for posting: Poetry Workshop.

But writing triolets gives one a shot at immortality?

Perhaps you might want to consider not insulting potential entrants. Just a thought.

Sorry, Tom! That's not one of mine. I guess it's from the Conrad Geller triolet that Jude posted. I'm not a fan of it, at any rate.

The Waters, in general, has much more free than formal verse (with the exception of a recent sonnet challenge). Most members write both.

Well that's good to hear. It just seemed to me so unnecessary, considering the number of triolets one could use to illustrate the form.

Here's to a successful challenge--
Tom

I've been unable to log in at The Waters, even though I have a global ezboard account. Can anyone advise me?

Gail, Sorry! I can't figure out why you're having login problems.

I'm about to leave for 3 days and will be visiting friends (who have no Internet!) until Sunday night. So I'll try to get you in touch with the other site administrator.

I'll send you a PM...

Toni
