That's an impressive roster. Be sure to let us (and me) know when you'll be in the Seattle area. It would be wonderful to hear you read, especially from such a fine book.

I went to the Los Angeles reading on Sunday amd if any of you can attend one of these others, I urge you to go. If you've heard Dave read, you know how good he is -- if you can't go, pick up the book -- as one of the comments said, it's a page-turner.

I've updated the list of readings with a bit more information. Thanks, friends.
Dave

PS: If anyone would like to hear a new half-hour radio show devoted to Ludlow, just go the the website for KPFK.org, click on audio archives, scroll down to Wednesday May 23rd at noon and click on play. That ought to do it.

I'm glad to see a couple of northwest venues on the updated list. This is something to look forward to!

Dave, you'll have to keep us posted when your Europe tour dates come through. Come on... you know you want to!

(by the way, George Szirtes was saying lovely things about you on his blog... this is a while ago now, when he received his copy in the post.)

David is just a great reader. Like me, he is a little guy with an enormous delivery, made more enormous in his case by his need to use hearing aids to hear himself! He has a perfectly pitched baritone, and from decades of teaching, his delivery of pentameter is immaculate. Ludlow grows on me each time I read it, and I have done so several times. Lucky Chapters. Lucky Keuka. Lucky Powows.

No north of the border? Dommage! I guess I will have to make that trip down to Newburyport in September!

Happy to accept invitations from Canada! And Katy, you know I'll get to England one of these days--I'd love to see friends like George and Clarissa again, and Anne Stevenson, Wendy Cope and others. I have cousins in Aberdeen and am always eager to see them. But I'm not sure when. It's hard work plugging a book while holding down a full time job and writing reviews and all that.
Anyway, thanks to all for the supportive words.
Dave

Catherine,

Dommage? Wha?

You gotta copyright on that? Wonderful! Use it right away!

Dommage. Dommage. Dommage.
