I have deleted this thread because it had inappropriate content.

Poor John Bloom is dead
they have taken out his thread
now we can't discuss his foibles dark and grim,
he can only blame John Beaton
that he rests his ample seat on
a place the devil keeps for such as him.

I was pissed when the thread was deleted, but there are some things you've got to be willing to back up very concretely. And there are some fights you can't pick for others, I suppose.

So, fair play to you, John.

Quincy

Of course it is unlikely that people who noticed the disappearance would look here for an explanation. Now someone started a thread at GT to discuss the subject of the disappearance. That's good. I had my say over there, but I will repeat here that Tim committed an indiscretion but no slander, since he said nothing that had not already been publicly charged. There was no justification for the thread's removal, even if he wanted it removed.

???

The thread seems to be reappearing piecemeal.

Alan, the deletion announcement was quickly cross-referenced on GT so no big deal.

I disagree with your comments on the deletion and have responded on GT.

The new thread, which has been much more focused on Bloom's work than the previous one, took a small turn in the same direction as the old one and I have intervened mildly.

John
