I'll be on vacation until August 6. I'll be looking in only every few days and posting less during this period.

Thanks, Margaret.

Sorry for being incommunicado for so long. Picked up a pretty ferocious bug in Paris - 9 days of gastro-enteritis so far and still partly out of commission. Hope to be participating more normally in a few days.

John

John,
There will be a poem in it eventually. Console yourself with that. French theatricals share the common fear of saying "good luck" before a show and instead say "merde". Very appropriate in your case on all levels.

Get well,
Janet

Thanks, Rose and Janet. I nearly "passed away"! I'm back in Canada now and will start catching up tonight.

John,
Think of it in this Tibetan fashion: if toilet rolls were prayer wheels you'd be in heaven by now.

Glad you made it.

Rose and Janet, thanks.

Janet, as you suggest, I have tried to meditate on the experience. However, I keep visualizing the seated Buddha on a commode. This leaves me feeling wiped.
