(arf-arf), but I just got my Winter 2009
Arion, and his two poems ( "Helen's Iliad" and "The Marriage of Peleus and Thetis" ) definitely caught my eye. They're very good.
Also, for the cranky among us (count me in) are two metrically sharp,
ah, ah, translations of Horace (1.10 and 3.14) by John Talbot. Previous comment on him at
AES.
One of these days, maybe Arion
will forget my amateur status as a classicist ...
