Default Thanks.

Thanks, David and Rick. The festival was a success!!! A huge turnout and the morning low clouds burnt off to reveal a beautiful spring afternoon.
Thanks again.

Good for you, Steve...it is a lovely painting and, as Janice noted, in a very difficult medium.

I like that it is free, doesn't have that over-workshopped look about it. : ) Congrats! Glad it was a beautiful day and a good turn out for you. Way north of you in Mendocino, we're finding it difficult to keep the arts alive in these tough economic times.

Default Thanks, Pat.

Yes. Isn't it a shame, the economic underpinning of the arts. I wrote Senator Feinstein a letter and received a nice reply expressing her support for the arts. I also wrote Secretary Duncan of the US Department of Education. I am concerned that the new push for science and technology education will overlook the arts and humanities. I think an educational system should stress developing the "whole individual" rather than specific disciplines. I have yet to receive reply.

Thanks again for your post.

Steve
