Julie Kane at Poetry Daily
Poetry Daily has posted in its news section a good review of Julie's Jazz Funeral.

Great news! I just ordered the book this week.
Also enjoying the poetry circus from the Hudson Review (I assume this is yours).

a review that knows a sonnet (even a crown of them) when it sees one! Nifty and kudos.

Good going, Julie. BTW your book arrived safely in Sweden. Much enjoyed in Sweden, also.

Thank you, David, for posting this! I knew of the Times-Picayune review, but did not know it would be picked up by Poetry Daily. And thank you, Janice, for the favorable mini-review from Sweden!

If you're in the New Orleans vicinity, attend Julie's reading at the Garden District Book Shop on Prytania Street, August 2:

Or her signing tomorrow at The Maple Leaf Bar. I was fortunate to hear a few of these poems at her West Chester panel reading, and plan to be at the Aug. 2nd, for her joint performance with Robin Kemp.

Actually, the Garden District Book Shop reading/signing is tomorrow (July 25) and the joint Maple Leaf Bar reading with Robin Kemp is August 2, and it would be SO GREAT if my fellow Louisianian, Jennifer, and any other Sphereans could make either one--thanks so much for posting, Jennifer!

Good grief. I'm so sorry, Julie, what an egregious mistake.

Julie,
I tried to order it, but Amazon US said they couldn't ship to my address, which is a new one on me.
How can you be a 'long-time Louisianan', by the way? Either you are or you are not, I thought, and your lot gave the Yankees many a good seeing-to.
(I tried Amazon UK too, but they only had your earlier book.)
I'll trade for one of mine, if you like.
Best,
David
