Concise Delight - Short poems - & New Verse News - progressive poems
I was pleased to have four poems selected for the premier issue of Concise Delight (some poems from the print journal will also appear online throughout the fall).
I'm pretty sure I am not the only Eratospherian to have received this news so make yourselves known.
And a reminder to all short poem writers, the editor, Denis Garrison, is now accepting submissions for the next issue, send him previously unpublished work. Submissions schedule at http://concisedelight.wordpress.com/...on-guidelines/
Denis Garrison has edited Modern English Tanka, Ambrosia, Haiku Harvest, Modern Haiga, Ku Nouveau, Haiku Noir, Templar Phoenix, Haiku Cycles, Gunpowder River Poetry, Amaze: The Cinquain Journal, and Loch Raven Review.
Long live the short poem!

Immediately after posting this, I got a message that my poem "How to be a Good Citizen" was accepted and posted at New Verse News. http://www.newversenews.com/
So I'm changing the heading of this thread and tacked it on here.
Thanks again, Diane, for telling us Sperians about this online site for progressive poetry.

Wow, Janice! Talk about a good day! Four poems in one place, another featured elsewhere!
May you have many more such days!
Congrats,
Bill

Thanks friends. I hope this will encourage writing and submission of short poems and (ahem) of topical issues.

Way to go, Janice.
I'll have one couplet in Concise Delight, as well.
PS: Where did the idea get started that fomalist poets are innately conservative politically? I keep seeing this around, and it seems to be far from true.

Thanks for alerting us to journals we might not have thought of. I have decided to give Concise Delight a try, based on your experience.
