Default The Best Disguise

I thought I would let people know that my first full-length poetry book, The Best Disguise, which won the 2009 Richard Wilbur Award, will be coming out this month in hardback from the University of Evansville Press. It is now listed as available for pre-ordering on amazon.com and barnesandnoble.com. The list price is $15, and that is what it is listed for on Amazon, but Barnes & Noble lists it with a discount, at $11.25 for online orders and $10.12 as the members' price. It is eligible for free shipping on either web site if the order totals over $25. For reasons I don't understand, Amazon lists the date of availability as Nov. 20 and Barnes & Noble lists it as Nov. 28. There are blurbs about it on the Amazon site. The book is eighty pages long and contains lots of sonnets, some villanelles, roundels, triolets, and poems in rhymed couplets and quatrains, most of which were originally workshopped on Eratosphere. Many thanks to Eratosphere members over the years, whose critiques have helped make this publication possible. For those who would like to see samples of my poems, they are available online at Mezzo Cammin, 14 by 14, The Chimaera, Lucid Rhythms, The Barefoot Muse, and elsewhere.

Thanks, Bill. I am not very computer literate, so I forgot to add the links.

Thanks, everyone. I knew that members of Eratosphere would be my best audience for a book like this. I am hoping that I'll be able to give more readings once I have a book out, though figuring out how to set them up is a challenge. Does anyone who knows the ropes have any suggestions?

Susan

Major kudos, Susan!! Are you on Wompo? There's a lot of networking about readings.
