I thought I'd mention that my piece "Chop" is appearing in an anthology called Nantucket: A Collection put out by midnightmind.com. "Chop" started as an exercise in meter for me when I was first under the spell of the prosody of Messrs. Sullivan and Murphy, then also evolved into an attempt to rhyme a little more creatively. It remains, to this day, my only dimeter poem. For the record, I should note that Alan, who saw a number of drafts, never liked any of them, but I have no doubt that "Chop" is less embarassing for his withering scrutiny, so God bless him for the effort.
The anthology is out in May, but the online promotion is up at the midnightmind.com site. Looks like a perfect gift for relatives for the holidays, or perhaps a welcoming gift the next time Bill and Melinda Gates stop by.
