Claudia K. Grinnell was born and raised in Germany. She now lives in the United States, where she teaches English at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. In her spare time, she writes poetry, reads a lot, surfs the net, eats sushi, and stays out of trouble. Her poems have appeared in various journals and magazines, such as
Hayden's Ferry Review, New Orleans Review, Bottomfish, The Alembic, Recursive Angel, and
Exquisite Corpse. Most recently, Claudia won the Southern Women Writers Conference Emerging Poets Award.
