Tilt-a-Whirl
A Poetry Sporadical of Repeating Forms

Advice to a Profiteer

by Mark Blaeuer

A wart-on-wart rococo ugliness
is unavoidable in times like these,
but that’s okay. Engulf it in a dress
of wart-on-wart rococo ugliness,
and you’ll have caught the low road to success.
Then schmooze around, spend zillions, and reprise . . .
That wart-on-wart rococo ugliness
will prove quite salable in times like these.

Mark Blaeuer lives in Arkansas. His poems and translations have appeared in a variety of literary journals.
