Tilt-a-Whirl
A Poetry Sporadical of Repeating Forms

Another Haystack

Chris O’Carroll

We’ve seen this scene before, Monet,
The same thing, but in different light,
Caught at a different time of day.
This scene we’ve seen before, Monet,
Is just a humble mound of hay.
Why do we take renewed delight
In what we’ve seen before, Monet,
This same scene, in your different light?
